Cub Scout Camping Cub Scout Camping is a great way to introduce boys who are in the first through fifth grades to the fun and excitement that Scouting can give them. Camping is the highlight of the year for most Cub Scouts, and the Last Frontier Council offers three types of camping adventures for the boys in the Cub Scout Program. Each of the programs listed below will ensure that your Cub Scout enjoys and remembers the fun times and adventures at Camp. Cub Scout Family Adventure Weekends Cub Scout Family Adventure Weekends are offered twice a year (Spring and Fall) at our Camps - John Nichols and George Thomas. Cub Scouts of all ranks are encouraged to attend these weekends with their parents/guardians and siblings. Here's a chance to come and see what our Camps have to offer, to experience the great outdoors, and have fun. Registration is from 5:30 - 8:00 pm on Friday evening. The program begins on Saturday morning and concludes after the Campfire program that evening. For those who choose to stay overnight at Camp George Thomas breakfast will be provided on Sunday morning prior to departure. Cub Adventure Weekend Flyers Are Available Now!!! Click the following links for additional information regarding the Camp George Thomas Fall Faily Adventures and the Cub Scout Family overnighters at John Nichols Scout Ranch. The cost is $20 per person for the George Thomas Fall Family Adventures and includes Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner and Sunday breakfast. The cost for Cub Family Overnighters at John Nichols Scout Ranch is $10 and includes breakfast and dinner on Saturday. Reservations and payment are due, BY PACK, to the Council Service Center no later than 7 days prior to the start of the weekend you are attending. Cub Scout Day Camp Day Camps offer varried activities, and crafts with a theme, in a local enviroment. Parents who are able are encouraged to be involved in the experience with their sons. Day camps provide a full week, 5 day program. Cub Scout Resident Camp Cub Scout Resident Camping is a multi-day and Overnight experience that is held at Camp George Thomas. hese programs allow your Scout to get a taste of what our Camps have to offer and to start developing the skills to become a Boy Scout. From Hiking in the Woods, to Swimming in the Pool, To Shooting Bow and Arrow, our Cub Scout Resident Camp provides your Scout with the thrill of a life-time!! Cub Scouts are organized into Cub Dens and Webelos Dens and the spend their time visiting the Program Areas throughout the Camp. Activities include: Archery, BB Gun Shooting, Swimming, Boating, Handicrafts, Scout Craft Skills and Sports. Camp Staff deliver the exciting and fast-paced program with a Theme unique to the Camp and the year (past themes have include Surfin' Saffari and Space Exploration). What will be the theme for 2013?
