Click here for more details. | | | National Leadership Seminar Members of the Order of the Arrow have a unique opportunity this year, as the best youth training that scouting has to offer is in our own backyard. Join OA members from Lodges all over the Nation the weekend of September 14-16 at Camp Classen YMCA in Davis, Oklahoma for a weekend full of fun, as we learn how to better lead our peers. This leadership course is advanced, and it is necessary that you have knowledge of basic leadership skills, such as those taught in Troop Leadership Training (TLT). This is a great time to meet people around the Section and a great way to get your foot in the door to future Lodge leadership. There is no better opportunity to perform this pillar of our organization then at Ordeal. The Ordeal is service at its finest to our council camps. We also perform the service of making those scouts, who have been recognized by their units as honor campers, members of the Order of the Arrow. This event requires the help of many of our members and we call on each you to return to our soon to be newest members the goodwill and mentoring you received when you joined. This event is not void of fun and there will be plenty of opportunity for good food and fellowship. The 2012 Fall Ordeal will be at John Nichols Scout Ranch from Friday, August 24th through Sunday, August 26th. In order to take advantage of our new pool at John Nichols, our council will host two Water Days at John Nichols. The dates are July 21st and August 11th, both on Saturdays. The cost is $10 per person. Units are welcome to camp on their own over the weekend and participate in the program that will be provided by our council all day on Saturday. Cost is $10 per person - for more information call 405-840-1114 | Come Meet Governor Fallin! | This event is a premier event to promote our state and all of the people and businesses that make us great! Scouts get an opportunity to do one of the things we do best - cheerfully serve others. Campers and Staff are invited to many Family Camping events this fall at Camp George Thomas and John Nichols Scout Ranch. The programs are designed for Cub Scouts and their families, and Boy Scouts and Venturers are encouraged to serve on staff. The cost is $10 per person.
