Camps Improve to Keep Scouts Safe

Within the next week there will be 51 total tornado shelters installed at Camp George Thomas, John Nichols Scout Ranch, and Slippery Falls Scout Ranch. The shelters have enough capacity to house all projected youth and adults at camp during peak summer program season. However, we are just entering severe weather season now. If you have an activity planned this spring at John W. Nichols Scout Ranch, Camp George Thomas, or Slippery Falls there will be a safe place to go in the event of severe weather. Order of the Arrow, MaNu Lodge 133 - Spring Ordeal 2012

The foundation of The Order of the Arrow is service. There is no better opportunity to perform this pillar of our organization then at Ordeal. The Ordeal is service at its finest to our council camps. We also perform the service of making those scouts, who have been recognized by their units as honor campers, members of the Order of the Arrow.

This event requires the help of many of our members and we call on each you to return to our soon to be newest members the goodwill and mentoring you received when you joined. This event is not void of fun and there will be plenty of opportunity for good food and fellowship.

The Spring Ordeal will be at Slippery Falls on Friday May 18th through Sunday May 20th. More information and registration will be available on the MaNu Lodge website at www.manu133.org.
