Free Advancement

 As many of you know by now the Centennial Quality Unit program of the Boy Scouts of America has ended.

 We now have the Journey to Excellence program which is in effect for 2011 program year.

 In the past any unit that achieved Quality Unit status, received free cloth rank advancement.

 As we transition to Journey to Excellence we have had to make some adjustments to this program.

1.       If you are a Centennial Quality Unit for 2010, you will receive free cloth rank advancement for 2011. If you are not sure if you are a Centennial Quality Unit please contact your District Commissioner.

2.       Units achieving the Gold level of Journey to Excellence in 2011 will be eligible to receive free cloth rank advancement.

        3.       Starting in 2012 a unit that moves up a level in Journey to Excellence will be eligible for free cloth rank advancement. 

                For Example:

v Not a Journey to Excellence Unit to Bronze Level

v Bronze Journey to Excellence Unit to Silver Level

v Silver Journey to Excellence Unit to Gold Level

v Gold Journey to Excellence Unit
